- Spring Roll Pins are un-headed fasteners used to secure 2 or more parts. The parts can be fixed or swivel on the pin once installed. The body diameter of the pin is larger than the hole they are designed to go into. This creates a spring effect as the pin is compressed slightly to fit into designed hole and expands against the wall of the hole. The spring effect ensures that the pin stays in place and acts as a fastener. Also known as: Tension Pins, Roll Pins, Slot Pins, Sel-Loc Pins, S-Lok Pins
- Features: > Resuable: Simple to disassemble with a pin punch or drift pin, will then return to original diameter for re-use > Light weight: 30 to 40% lighter than equivalent solid pins > Fits standard size holes: Eliminates second operation such as reaming, milling, chamfering and tapping > Strong: Spring pins can suitably replace cold-rolled or taper pins of equal diameter > Self-locking: Built-in locking mechanism with spring action

- Material / Coating: ****IMPORTANT**** Due to availability some sizes are only available as Zinc Plated. When selecting the length you will see the finish of the product supplied
- Standard: There are 2 standards of roll pins ASME B18.8.4M and ISO 8752, we carry ISO 8752, the heavier standard with the larger pin diameter
- Chamfer Length: Pins supplied with diameter = or > 10mm may be supplied with a single chamfer configuration
- Material / Coating: Black Oxide has a grey / blackish appearance that adds a mild layer of corrosion and abrasion resistance to the fastener. An appealing look when a bright shine is not desired. Due to the process, we do see some instances of inconsistency of the final appearance. Like any material, black oxide treated fasteners can rust in the right environments. It will depend on if the fastener is damaged or marred, the type of metal with the black oxide treatment and environmental conditions. Another benefit is it does not significantly change the dimensions of the fastener like other plating’s
