- Hex Structural K0 AS1252:2016 nuts have 3 lines on the top of the nut to indicate they are structural nuts. They were orginally designed to be used with structural bolts but now are also used with high tensile allthread and other high and low tensile products when heavy dimensional nut is required. The nuts can be seen in steel-to-steel structural connections in many buildings and bridge constructions across Australia
- New standard for Structural assemblies K0 AS1252:2016: This standard replaces the previous standard AS1252:1983/1996. The major change is the mandatory assembly testing. The assembly test requires all components of a structural assembly (bolt, nut and washer) to be tested together. Refer to the PDF's for further information
- Material / Coating: Galvanised is a dull greyish colour and can be a little rough in appearance and is mainly used outdoors because of its superior corrosion resistance and proven longevity. Also known as HDG, it is one of the best coatings for protection against rust. Galvanised fasteners have been used across many industries in Australia for over 150 years on steel buildings, bridges, trailers, bridges, farm equipment, power poles, marina’s etc
- Thread Pitch (Metric): is the distance between the peaks of two threads along a screw, bolt, nut or fastener expressed in millimetres (mm). Used when referring to Metric parts. For example, a thread pitch of 1.50mm means that the distance between one thread and the next is 1.50mm
