- Hollow Wall Anchors are a steel fastener used to secure fastening into hollow blocks, cavity wall and plaster boards up to 23mm thick and can be set using either a screw driver or a pistol grip anchro setting tool (recommended)
- Features / Benefits: Medium duty for typical loads up to 10kg for 4mm, 15kg for 5mm and 6mm fixings. The clamping action provides a very strong anchor point spreading the fixture load by deforming to an umbrella shape behind the board and preventing pull-through when tightened, includes a low profile roundhead screw, zinc plated.
- Material / Coating: Zinc Yellow plated refers to the colour of the chromate that is applied after zinc has been applied. Yellow chromate increases the overall protection of the finish and is the preferred plating finish for most construction fasteners due to the good level of protection against corrosion. It can be used externally but doesnt offer the same protection as Galvanised or Stainless
- Fastener length: is generally measured from the point where the surface of the material will be when the fastener is installed to the end of the fastener. Thus, fasteners with heads that sit above the surface are measured from under the head to the end of the fastener, while fasteners that sit flush with the surface are measured from the top of the head to the end of the fastener
